Deep from the underground music scene in Boorloo, vishnu unveils his fourth studio album 'subculture folk'. This release encapsulates the sound designer / radio personality / DJ returning to his atmospheric roots. An aural snapshot of pivotal moments within the producers’ journey back into sound design after a few years of being re-inspired by local and international music culture.

A collage of textures weaves a patchwork of memories and moods that is both deeply personal and relatable at the same time. Directly inspired by his involvement with warehouse raves, doofs, festivals, and sound system culture, vishnu has composed a series of aural postcards that transport you to specific locations and emotions.

The album combines the synthesis of field-recording sample manipulation, organic sound design, dubwise production, collage art, and complemented with a psychedelic garnish. This collection of psybient compositions champions the local chillout community thriving under the “I Think Therefore I Ambient” weekly gatherings where producers, musicians, artists, and audiophiles continue to support each other.
